The Coby TF-TV1525 is a decent TV, it may not boast with a lot of innovative technology like Internet connectivity, 3D, DLNA, Web-based applications and others but everything is designed for a reason. Yes, this TV can be used for another room or as a computer monitor. The picture quality is good but not great. The 15 inch widescreen display offers a resolution of 720p and is DTV-ready with dual NTSC/ATSC tuners. The TFT LCD has an exact resolution of 1366 x 768. The audio, in the other hand, is a full-range stereo speakers (6W) along with a digital comb filter and noise reduction.
This TV also includes a V-chip parental control, electronic program guide, closed caption and multi-language support. In terms of connectivity, it has an AV input jacks for the use of media devices, videogame consoles, DVD players and other. There is also a HDMI connection port which allows the connection of other HD devices. The HDCP compliance was done for HDCP content support. Don’t expect to use this as an Internet TV since it lacks Internet connectivity. This TV doesn’t present a very glorious design or bold looks; however, it looks fine when mounted on the wall. It’s quite thick for its size, though.
