REVIEW:

This TV is worth buying and is an outstanding choice for a bedroom or kitchen. The picture is exceptional for such a small package; it’s as good as my Samsung 50″ plasma. The color needs improvement though; it may provide clarity that should be for a 1080p LCD. What make this TV stands out are its internet and web-based apps. There are numerous choices Netflix, Pandora, Hulu and even Amazon Instant Video, and many more. The wireless Internet setup was very convenient and the streaming to the TV.

The only negative is the sound. As others have stated, it’s bad! You can’t expect great sound from such a small TV and I knew this. There’s not much you can do about it either except attach external speakers but due to space limitations. Vizio was making really good TV’s and the VIZIO’s M221NV. The picture quality, the most important factor in judging a TV, will astonish you. The internet apps make this TV an exceptional value and as long as you aren’t expecting great sound, you will be happy with your purchase.

 

CONCLUSION:

The unit is very light and is easy to assemble. Connection to the network via LAN cable to Airport Extreme is also convenient. The TV detected Internet connection with no problems at all. The web apps are available right out of the setup process including Pandora, Twitter, Facebook and Netflix. Picture quality is decent but not satisfactory. It does create motion blurs at times but barely noticeable in a distance. Besides the picture quality, one thing that users will surely appreciate is the automatic sound level controls feature that most VIZIO televisions come with. It stops TV ads from blasting high audio levels.
